Cattleya

CATTLEYA
(KAT-lee-a) – This plant is considered as the “queen” of the orchids and popularly used as corsages. This plant was named after William Cattley who had first cultivated it. To care for Cattleya, it needs temperature requirement ranging from 50-55 degrees at night, 70-100 degrees during the day. Cattleyas grow on trees and jungle forest. When planted on pots it has to be very dry before watering again. Fertilize twice a month but reduced fertilizing during winter months.

Second to roses this one of my favorite flowers. I took this photo from a garden of a house where we had an office team building. I like the floral garden around the house. It was nice waking up in the morning seeing those lovely blooms.

Cattleya Orchids are one of the most beautiful flowers Ms. Jolly and fragrant to. It is quite hard to take care though especially in our country. Orchids are very sensitive to climate change. A refreshing post ms. Jolly I'll be back and waiting for a new one.-lyn- We will be going to Baguio for vacation shhhh...it is our 10th wedding anniversary!
