Walking Exercise

This past week, I had been busy looking for a place for my nephew and his friend. These two young lads are neighbors in Santa Rosa City Laguna and working in Ortigas Center, one of the business districts in Manila. My nephew is a web designer while his friend is a computer programmer. Without the traffic jam from Santa Rosa City to their place of work, it takes around forty-five minutes by bus ride. The traffic jams make it times two. What makes it difficult is the needed overtime after work shift. The overtime makes it harder for both lads to commute long distance from work to home. They decided to look for a place closer to work. I had to help them scout for a place within their budget being newly employed. I managed a walking exercise.

Walking is an exercise that is beneficial to our health. Walking is a powerful way, not only as a means of aerobic exercise. But it clears our heads with thoughts that bother us. These thoughts could range from simple to complex. Well, of course it does not solve the “problem” per se at that moment. While walking, you could figure out some ideas that would possibly solve the problem. At the same time, doing an exercise that offers important cardiovascular benefits. Walking rids us of tension and stress that could cause heart disease. Walking manages your weight without exerting too much effort.  Thus, reducing or possibly eliminate the cause of type-2 diabetes.

Type- 2 diabetes is lack of insulin in the body which can be acquired due to obesity, high-fat diets, less active lifestyle or adult- onset diabetes. For those who are suffering from arthritis walking provides them with good mobility. Ideally, walking for at least thirty minutes five times a week is good, for best health result. When you walk regularly, you can increase your pace and the distance as to how far you could go, as you progress. Do not fret, if for the first time you feel you can not make it, it is normal. You will build your resistance soon.  And, you could be in your best shape. You had least expected ever to happen.

@Webbielady - I do my walking regularly after work. I am always seated 8 hrs working in a Call Center. I also try to limit my food intake to at least half cup of rice or bread. I am more on fruit and vegetables now. Walking is a good resistance builder too. I am happy I could share something worthwhile to my blogger friends. :♥)

Hi Jolly Princess, walking is good.
Here in Canada practically everyone owns a car, many two or three....for wife, daughter, son...and hardly walk.

Me....I purposely park far from a mall entrance and walk, as well walk to nearby stores too instead of taking the car.
Only thing is in a couple of months going to be a bit of problem walking....you guessed it! Snow! Ha ha.

Manatili kang bata, sanay maging masaya para sa'yo ang buong linggo. Ingat ka paligi, Lee.

@Zezebel- I believed we have same climate. I always have a bottle or sachet of sunblock lotion and my Gatorade. One thing I like best is walking inside a shopping mall. The air conditioned place and looking around makes me cover some distance without me feeling tired. @Country Mouse Studio- Thank you friend. Happy I could blog something of relevance to my blogger friends and readers.

Walking is by far the easiest way to exercise, along with cycling and swimming which I also really enjoy.

@Uncle Lee- Your Tagalog is pretty good! That is the beauty of not having a car I am force to walk.:) @Ryan - I love swimming, too. I am not into cycling though. Another sport I am crazy about is bowling. Not very good at it. But I like the game. @delightfullness - Loosing bilbil(belly fat)? Good idea. Hahahah!:)
