Three Pairs of Shoes

Oh no… these are not my sandals and shoes. I cannot afford to have these wide arrays of footwear. I took this photo using my cell phone from one of the shelves inside a shopping mall in Ayala, Makati City. Secret… I am not telling the name of the store. I do not want the store to have a free ad in my blog. I could not use my camera, lest the security guard might confiscate it. That is the beauty of the new cell phone techno these days. As the TV ad says, cell phone is all in one. You carry one gadget and you could enjoy plenty of useful functions. You just have to have lots of patience to know all its features. To be honest I am not so keen on cell phones. Until now, I do not know yet all the features of my cell phone. The Wi-Fi feature is great but you have to wait for the not slow but very slow connection.

So, what about the shoes? Saturday afternoon last week the 20th of Nov, I had a bonding time with my teenager niece and her best friend. The friend is a boy, so he is her boyfriend. I advanced my cash Christmas present to my niece thinking we will have more time to shop. I know she is not picky just very picky when it comes to items she would like to buy. Luckily her boyfriend is gifted with tons of patience. I just had to show them where to go. I sat at a couch nearby. I had to peek once in a while to check if a sales lady is already pulling her long hair. Good enough the well trained sales ladies entertained her well. When the sales ladies had their backs turned, I would tell my niece. When I shop I know exactly what to buy. She just smiled and said it is because she wanted the best deal.

I was at the mall at two in the afternoon. They arrived an hour late because of traffic jam. We ate lunch and snacks all at one time, before we got ready to shop. We were done with three pairs of shoes at eight in the evening. Her boyfriend had to take her home. She arrived at their house in Sta. Rosa Laguna City at eleven in the evening. It was a tiring day for three pairs of shoes. Yet, I am happy, my niece got so excited for the long hours of shopping. She sent me text message saying she will ask her brother to give her money for Christmas. We will do another round of shopping. Wish me luck folks.

most of the time guys hate shopping. that is why before when my mom and I go shopping and let daddy drive he would say please bring the morning paper hehehe!
he would always say or you might as well bring a book i might finish the paper from cover to cover or even read them five times and i'm sure you wont still be here..
but hey I'm not the picky one hehe.. my mom is.. she would try every shoes on the rick and ask for more often times after that we move to another store without something in our hands.

Good luck with your shopping. I, for one, detest shopping malls at anytime of the year! Hope you are keeping well,

Jane

@Stephaine- I am actually glad we had pre-Christmas shopping. I hate to fall in line to the cashier. @Nick- Howdy?:) Welcome to my blog.:) Hahah! So, you know madams hobby. I guess she wont mind she is just waiting for dole outs from the poor now. Like what she ALWAYS says when she runs for a post in our country. (lol)

It's fun when shopping even if it takes hours! Whenever I'm shopping, I find that I'm "glued" to the place because of the environment with so many things appealing to the eyes! Plus the good music they play. The attraction is there and only at the end of the day, I realise that I have a hole in my pocket!

@Jane- I am happy you are able to visit despite your hectic schedule. :)@Balqis- Hahahah! A hole in the pocket is very true. (lol) @sudhi You would be delighted had you seen the whole area full of shoes and sandals. The area btw, is for ladies shoes only. Men and children shoes are at another section.:)

The joys of shopping with a teen :)
You are a good aunt, Jolly! It is interesting seeing sandals for sale in December. Did you see Ryan's snowy blog today? Maybe some of those men in kilts on skis would like a nice pair of sandals..ha ha!!

JP,
So many hours at the mall to get 3 pairs of shoes ? hmmmmm .........
As long as you and your nice enjoy I think it's okay.

Jolly Princess said...

@Jean-Thanks :)I enjoy reading other blogs as well, including yours. @Multibrand- I already expected the shopping with my niece would take long hours. As I looked at her innocent face looking at those shoes. She got overwhelmed. She was unable to decide what to buy. :)

JP,

your story reminded me of my father.. he once drove me around town to few shops so that I could get the shoes that I needed, and I finally got a pair... with no complaints whatsoever from him...

my mum told me later that all he said to her was "she(i.e. me) had difficulty in making up her up mind"..hehe..that's my father..cool n steady..

I miss him..

I love shopping but not for shoes. It takes me a lot of time finding shoes that i can use for church, work, casual occasions, aargh! That's me. That also applies to clothes, bags and so on and so forth. d'you think i have a problem? hehe

@Cheqna- That is so nice of him.:) @Ryan- I sort of like him because he is well mannered and really patience with niece. I hope he will not change. @littleyana - Not really I guess you are just picky like my niece. :)
