After the flood and surviving typhoon Helen, Filipinos are
again deeply saddened as a private plane crashed yesterday, around 4pm, 18th of August, off a shore Masbate City, south of
Manila. On board the ill fated plane is
Jesse Robredo our Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary. The plane pilot, Captain Jessup M. Bahinting,
a veteran of flying aircrafts sent distress call to Masbate airport for
emergency landing due to engine trouble. The plane did not make it to the
airport. It crashed off the sea about 500 meters away from the airport.
Rescue and retrieval operation is still ongoing as I am
posting this blog. Prayers and Catholic masses are being offered for the safety
of the Secretary, the pilot and the co pilot. Their fate or chance of survival
is still uncertain as of now. Don Abrasado the aide of Secretary Robredo
survived the crash by jumping off the plane. The crash was witnessed by some
fishermen and residents who mentioned of seeing smoke on the tail of the plane
before it went down.
Secretary Robredo attended an important meeting in Cebu
City, a Visayan island, in Southern Philippines. He was in route to his home
town, Naga City a booming City of Region 5, south of Manila when the accident
happened. Secretary Robredo is a good man, as I quote a text message from my sister.
A former Mayor of Naga City, a well educated man and an awardee for government
service.

He's gone :( may comfort dwell for the family
Oh, what sad news. May he rest in peace.
Very interesting blog - it's a shame that the image of the Filipino blogger is being destroyed by such people as Noemi Dado, Jepoy Bengero & Reyna Elena - still busy with their hostile SEO campaign of hatred - going on for four years now.
Check it out if you're interested - but please don't be tempted to join them :)
@Dai Ning Li – The family I am sure are comforted by those people around them. They were so many people crying over the loss of the good secretary, from all walks of life. @Laura @Travelocafe- He is in peace now, knowing too many people loved him.
@Tim Cumper – Welcome to my blog Tim.. Thanks for letting me know you visited. I have not been online lately. Busy at work, mostly. But will check those blogs you mentioned in my free time. : )
