Eye Care

Yesterday Saturday morning, after work shift I thought of having my eyes checked for possible change in my grade. It had been two years since I had my eyes checked. Ever since I had worked with a Call Center my activities had been limited to home and office. There is one new shopping center in Ayala Makati City I had not visited. There is one optical shop I was looking for. They changed their location. I thought of spending time for a reasonable price of eyeglasses and lens in case there is a need to change my eyeglasses. I found the optical shop in Glorietta 5, Ayala Center.

I advised the lady Optometrist already had a record with them two years back. She left the counter and in few minutes came back. She found my record. I did not ask if they had me in their data base or maybe found the old index card I filled out when I walk in for the first time as a new customer. I noticed when I entered the shop the space was compressed. There were limited stocks of eyeglasses frames, unlike in their former place. I thought it is probably because to have a shop in that shopping mall is expensive. The lady optometrist checked my eyes. I was happy to learn my grade did not change. I thought for a while to just pay for the consultation but changed my mind. I was so pleased by the way the lady optometrist explained to me my eye problem when I peppered her with lots of questions.

Working for customer service myself, I want to please the good eye doc. I asked for the prices of their frames and the cost of my lens. The grade of my eyes is not that much. It is just my  astigmatism that is causing my dilemma. I chose a not so expensive frame for my distance eyeglasses. After an hour of waiting and roaming around the shopping center, I am a proud owner of a stylish new eyeglasses frame. I promised to come back next month to change my frame for my reading and computer eyeglasses. I intend to go to the  Ophthalmologist accredited by our office before I change my lens. Second opinion matters at times.

My blog list. What they are blogging about. ♥
