Sorting out some papers may sounds easy yet a little tedious to do. As I do not want to simply crumple them and throw straight to the waste basket. I had to do the sorting out. Believe me I am not even half way done. Why did I have to do these? When my mother was hospitalized and we finally brought her to her resting place. I had rearranged some important documents. I had to put them back in place. While sorting out my personal files I was tempted to sort out more.
I found out some are old letters, Christmas and birthday cards from friends. Some are from my family members. I had to discard some. To loosen my cabinet for space I would need for the most important documents. You could probably guess all those items I had left behind. Some photo negatives took me a while to sort out. I need to peek at them one by one. I am planning to bring those photo negatives to a photo shop. They may have a way of putting them in a CD or DVD. In this way they would be easier to keep.
Here is one old photo taken inside a shopping mall that caught my attention. At our background is a fountain. This was taken years back with my nephew and two nieces. The small cute girl is the sister of the boy. They are children of my older brother. The bigger girl is daughter of my sister. I smiled at the thought of this photo. They are no longer kids as you see in here. My nephew and the bigger niece are now young professionals. The smallest girl is now a college freshman. The shopping mall was renovated. The fountain does not look like this anymore. My sister took this photo. I am glad I had kept this through the years.
Golden memories…They are worth to cherish…♥

Hi Princess! We seem to be in the same boat. Sorting out papers need patience, right? We have to look carefully at each of them before deciding which one to discard.
What we left behind are memories, which always have a special place in our hearts.
I'm having some light moment here reading your posts. :)
I have many cards and letters that I have saved from family and friends over the years. At times, it is fun to go back and reread them,
Jane

@Balqis-Right on that friend did you know that once I tried to crumple an envelope but noticed it was a bit bulky? When I opened the envelope there was money inside. I learned my lesson. I forgot to mention for those with addresses. I had to tear them with scissor. To make sure I will not get some pen pals. Thank for dropping by and your comment. :)
@Jane-I have plenty of drawings and cards from my nephew and 4 nieces. I could not helped smiling when I see them. @Jean-My nieces would giggle at their baby photos. @Ravali- Please think of your family as your inspiration. I know wherever you maybe you are in their thoughts.

my mom used to collect all of the letters I gave him since elementary
when she reads it..we laugh because of my grammar like "dear mommy, kamusta naman po ako diyan?"
It's so hard to sift through old negatives, but I would LOVE to see more of your old pictures. The one you posted is so sweet and YOU are a true princess! GORGEOUS, Jolly!
I want to see MORE!
When my Mom died we had to go through her personal belongings and discovered old cards, letters and photos that she had saved over the years. It was very interesting to take a peak into her past.
Memories are great :-)

@Moonomo-I had been saving old photos of my family members and laugh at those funny ones. @delightfullness - The smallest girl in the photo used to write dedications on her birthday and Christmas presents to me. In those days she was in elementary grade school. The thoughts are so nice to reread.
@Jill Wellington - Thank you for being my fan. Hehehe.. I am learning from you actually. Reading your blog and seeing those old photos you posted. @THE OLD GEEZER - My mother saved lots of our old photos. They were such a lovely pair on their black and white wedding photo.
It's amazing what you'll find underneath a pile of papers! Good thing you didn't discard it right away.
Family pictures are priceless! :)
@Country Mouse Studio - I am wondering why you are unable to see the photo. Maybe another page error again. @NENSA MOON - Thanks Nensa. I like reading your post too. Especially those regarding your family. @Melanie- As priceless are how you adored your two boys.♥
