From Cool to Warm Weather

No more cool weather in Manila, Philippines. Yes, it seems our summertime will come early this year 2013. As oppose to the previous prediction of our weathermen, we are to enjoy cooler temperature until March, it is getting warmer now especially at noontime. At least it is still cooler at night in my place.

I hope no intense heat come summer time.  This could result to plenty of rainfall during rainy months and possibly cause flooding. I guess I am getting paranoid a bit. I had not been affected by flooding in Manila. I pity those people who are more likely to suffer from weather disturbance. The government funds allotted to fortuitous events could be used for livelihood of Filipinos. In this way, Filipinos could feel the growth in Philippine economy. My appreciation goes to some government officials, businessmen and Filipinos who worked so hard to contribute to this achievement.

Ah, well, que serra serra ... be positive. Life is a challenge. The option to be happy is within us. To my Chinese friends, Chinese bloggers, and to all Filipino Chinese –

London Lad

This is the very first photo my nephew posted a day after he arrived in London. This was taken from his cell phone by a friend.  Funny, when he was on his way to UK we were anxious monitoring him on Facebook.
 .
When the plane landed in Doha Qatar, he posted a comment he is in Qatar already for the connecting flight to London. We, his close relatives commented on his post. Some of his friends replied on his post too.  The next post we read was he was about to sleep, already in London. The following day, the post was he was watching rugby in South Wimbledon with some friends.

Make It Short and Simple

Thursday and Friday are my day off from work. Oh, yes I am back to work for the info of my blogger friends. I will write a separate story on how it happened, soon. I had a chance of reading some blogs.

What caught my attention are blog topics about relationships. A.K.A – Tips and recommendations how relationship would work and last in the days ahead. I read many kinds books about this topic. It seems all of them have same recommendations. Why not simply point out the simple ways how relationship would work? Here are what I have to say. -

  1. Be a responsible partner – Relationship is partnership. Be it among family members or among friends.
  2. Shun white slavery – Strong words but I simply mean abuse in relationship. You should know when to take control of the situation. Most of those who knew me personally, know I am easy to please. I seldom complain. But when I sense something is amiss. I distance myself or let the other person know, it takes two to tango.
  3.  Avoid complicated relationship – Life has so many challenges. You may not be strong enough to handle the pressure.

Few Good Men

Friends and bloggers, I am writing this post with a heavy heart. I am not superstitious person. However, Monday, 23rd of August is not a good week to start with. Personally I always look forward to the start of the week as a new beginning. I felt so sorry the inevitable unfortunate events took place. In your own living room you must have watched live the hostage taking incident in Manila. I wished it never happened. Yet it did, watched by the whole world while some inept uniformed men struggled to end the tourist hostage frenzy. Where was the boss anyway?

A candle for peace
I normally report for work early, to avoid rush hour traffic jam.  I got lucky I got a ride at once and arrived at least an hour before my log in time. We have two cafeterias at the office and both have television stations broadcasting the incident, live. Most of my officemates were cursing while some were teary eyed. We watched and listened to the panting voices of the radio, television and other media personalities who were eager to have details of the story. I was very much disturbed when I got home at seven in the morning. I cried for the fate of the innocent people who just wanted to have a little enjoyment in life. I cried for the fate of Filipinos.

I do not blame anyone, yet I am a person bruised and wounded emotionally. I pray for forgiveness and understanding from the victims relatives. I abhor, apologized for the strong word to my readers, the ways of coward uniformed men for the settlement of their undue demands. Gentlemen in uniform, like you and most civilian Filipinos we are warriors in whatever ways to uplift each of our lives. By going berserk to reiterate your demands the more you hurt yourself, your families and your countrymen as a whole. Because of the latest incident, we became a laughing stock to the whole world. We have threatened possible investors to our country that would alleviate our economic turmoil.

I challenge you uniformed Filipino gentlemen to go by your sworn duties, to die in dignity for protecting lives of innocent people not protecting your own. I challenge you to pass on the legacy to your descendants with pride the Philippines Flagged wrapped on your lifeless body. What a great honor for a gallant Filipino, is it not? There are only few good men, count yourself in.

Great Day

Good morning World Wide Web!

I hope the beginning of your week had been great. As for me Monday, the 5th is the beginning of July. I hope my American friends or should say my friends in the U.S. had already recovered from your hang over due to the celebration of the 4th of July. I had not greeted you folks in my blog. I kind of became busy last weekend to post a greeting. Anyhow, I hope the holiday was great. I have this coffee over here in case you needed to perk up your day.
The month of June had been busy as well. The good thing is I was granted few days off. It enabled me to work on my long time plan of my general cleaning at home. I am planning to file more vacation leave within July. I just want to make use of the remaining unused vacation leave for 2009. We were advised by our HR, unused vacation leaves will forfeited  by August or September. It was different before. We could accumulate the vacation leave longer, before it gets forfeited.

Thank you my blogger friends for continuously and consistently visiting my blog. Much more than thank you for leaving me a comment. Your comment enables me to determine who should I convey my thanks. To some whose blog I visited and leave comments. Please do not be compelled to return the favor back. It is your freewill. I enjoyed reading your blogs. I feel great to be part of this online activity. Nothing much today, this is just to wish everyone-
Happy blogging folks!
 Have a great day!
